Festival Guidelines

📋 MATCH RULES

  • ⏱️ Match Durations (Single Half Format):
    • Friday, Saturday & Sunday Outdoor: 25 mins
    • Indoor: 25 mins
  • ⚖️ Governance: Official FIH rules apply under the Festival Director’s discretion. Official umpires are assigned to all games.
  • ⚡ Inclement Weather: Matches are subject to shortening if lightning or severe weather occurs.

Emergency

🏥 Medical Support & Emergency Procedures

  • On-Duty During Matches: ALS Paramedics will be stationed on-site throughout match play for all immediate medical needs.
  • After-Hours Emergencies: Should an emergency occur outside of match hours, the team manager in charge must contact Heather Baguley to arrange medical assistance via Life Hilton Private Hospital.

Health & Safety

🚨 LIGHTNING SAFETY PROCEDURES

✅ ALL CLEAR: Sport may ONLY resume when the red light turns off AND the all-clear siren sounds.

🚨 SIREN SOUNDS: Stop play immediately and clear all fields.

🏃 TAKE COVER: Move everyone under permanent shelter (do not remain in open areas or near metal fences).

🔴 RED LIGHTS FLASHING: Beacons at the pool and tennis court buildings will stay red while lightning is in the area.
